COME AND VISIT US
With keeping our roots in mind, we strive to produce high quality, functional cattle with the commercial cattleman in mind. Feel free to stop by anytime, visitors are always welcome.

WELCOME
M &E Angus is located near Kimball, SD and is a branch of the Kroupa ranch that was established in 1882. Currently the 4th, 5th and now 6th generation are active at the ranch. Our ranch started with a commercial base Hereford cow herd and transitioned to raising both commercial and registered Angus cow herds over the years. Our two herds are treated one and the same with the only difference being the color of tag in their ear.
We select for easy fleshing, good uddered females that can live off the land with minimal inputs. We expect our cows to be able to raise a calf on her own out in the South Dakota elements. Creep feed does not exist in our spring calving herds.
We retain all our own heifer replacement, sell registered and purebred Angus bulls at our annual production sale every April, and finish out all other heifers and steers that we raise. Even though we have strongly selected for maternal traits, we have proven ourselves over the years to be above average in carcass merit and produce a final product that consumers demand.
